I create collage and mixed-media works with a scalpel-like precision and a sense of playful irreverence. Using a cutting blade, I remove images from vintage magazines, rescuing fragments of the past and reimagining them in new narratives. Negative space in my work provides the images with room for conversation; the crisp background acts as a springboard for the detail and fusion of the images. My work often blends humor with tenderness, exploring the layered experiences of women and the evolving role of the mother. By pairing nostalgic imagery with unexpected juxtapositions, I aim to create pieces that feel familiar and delightfully strange, inviting viewers to laugh, reflect and reconsider the stories we tell about women’s lives.
